About Call me Cordelia:

Call Me Cordelia is the personal site of Shannon Marlin. It features all of her favorite things such as gardening, English Literature, recipes, vintage finds, and her love of all things Victorian. Call Me Cordelia takes us back to a time before the cold modern age of cell phones, when handwritten letters and pressed flowers were treasured.

In our blog, you’ll find recipes, craft ideas, and gardening tips among other things. Our online shop features vintage finds. We don’t offer everyday items which can be found at Wal-Mart. Instead we offer nostalgic items you might remember from childhood visits to Grandma’s. The shop specializes in treasured memories and the opportunity to share them with your own children or grandchildren. We also have a section devoted to L. M. Montgomery’s beloved Anne of Green Gables. Call Me Cordelia also offers a large selection of free goodies for our visitors. This includes: desktop wallpaper, icons, and games.

The name Call Me Cordelia is from a quote in Anne of Green Gables. When asked her name, the child in the novel replies, "Will you please call me Cordelia?"

Betty (left) and Shannon (right)Call Me Cordelia was created by Shannon Marlin. At the age of 21, she still lives in North Carolina with five crazy cats (click here to meet them), and a dog named Alexander. She loves gardening, creating floral arrangements, English Literature, and roller skating. Her favorite things include: porch swings, rainy days, african violets, and Camellia Cottage, which is tucked away in her grandparents' woods.

She is inspired by her grandmother Betty's love of collecting dishes, linens, antiques, and almost everything else. Most of their friends love the ambiance of their treasures, which is what prompted Shannon to open the shop. Betty and Shannon often call themselves "The Ladies of Camellia Cottage". Together they have hosted many tea parties, shopped at most of the local antique shops, and met so many nice friends in the process.

Visit Shannon on Facebook, Twitter, or LibraryThing.
